What material is your garage carpet made from?
Fair dinkum garage carpet is manufactured from synthetic fiber, producing a hard-wearing carpet that strikes the perfect balance between durability & comfort, in addition to excellent UV, stain and water resistance.
How thick is your carpet?
Our carpet has a 7mm pile height and weighs 800 g / m2
Does Fair dinkum garage carpet offer a warranty?
Yes, our carpet is supported with a 5 year warranty, subject to general usage wear.

How long does the installation take?
For a standard double garage it typically takes 3-4 hours to complete the garage carpet installation.
How is the carpet finished at the front edge where the garage door is?
As this is the main impact point when a vehicle enters / exits the garage we need to protect the front from edge of the carpet. Here we have two options available; Option 1 (inclusive in your standard quote) PVC strip glued to concrete PVC strip pic Option 2 (premium upgrade – offers long term protection and looks much nicer) Aluminium strip mechanically anchored to concrete and finished with concealed fixing cover strip
What happens if I drive my wet car on the garage carpet?
Too easy! Being synthetic the carpet is water resistant and won’t rot or smell. Just allow the water to soak away and evaporate
When the garage carpet is installed will it have a joint?
Like all other carpet we will make a joint which is achieved using industry best practice methods and is subtle on the eye.
Do you use smooth edge (carpet grippers) and underlay?
No, unlike household carpet, garage carpet is completely glued to the surface this ensures no movement within the carpet when cars drive onto it.
Can I drive on the garage carpet?
Absolutely! Our carpet is durable and tough. We just need 24 hours after the install before you drive your car on the carpet.
Can I see a completed install or have a sample?
We have many happy customers who are always happy to show off their new garage carpet. To arrange a viewing or sample just give us a call
What days do you work?
We operate Monday-Friday excluding public holidays. Weekend installations are available upon request and incur a surcharge of $150 + gst.
What if my floor is painted?
Providing the said paint / coating is well bonded it is no issue gluing the carpet over the top. If the paint is flaking then it is best practice to have it removed. Talk to us for assistance
